Terms & website disclaimer
Clear expectations from the start.
These terms explain how the Black Swan Tax Group website may be used and clarify the limits of general website information, pricing, inquiries and tax-preparation engagements.
Effective date
Terms of Use & Disclaimer
Effective: August 28, 2026
1. General Information Only
Information provided on the Black Swan Tax Group website, The Swan Report, social-media pages, newsletters and other public materials is provided for general educational and informational purposes only.
It is not individualized tax, legal, accounting, financial or investment advice. Tax rules depend on the facts and circumstances of each taxpayer, and general information may not apply to your situation.
2. No Client Relationship Created by Website Use
Visiting this website, submitting a contact form, completing a preliminary intake, subscribing to an email list, calling the business or requesting an appointment does not by itself create a tax-preparation or professional-services relationship.
Black Swan Tax Group may review a prospective client's information before deciding whether to accept an engagement. An engagement is established only after acceptance and completion of any required engagement letter, authorization, payment or onboarding steps.
3. Pricing
Prices shown on the website are starting prices unless expressly stated otherwise.
Current examples include:
- Essential tax preparation starting at $250
- Plus tax preparation starting at $350
- Self-Employed tax preparation starting at $450+
Final pricing depends on the complexity, completeness and scope of the return. Additional states, rental properties, investment activity, multiple businesses, K-1s, prior-year returns, amendments, bookkeeping cleanup and other complexity may increase the fee.
Black Swan Tax Group will provide or confirm the preparation fee before substantial preparation work begins. If the scope changes after additional information is provided, any material pricing change will be discussed before proceeding.
4. No Guarantee of Refund, Tax Result or Processing Time
Black Swan Tax Group does not guarantee that a taxpayer will receive a refund, guarantee a specific refund amount, guarantee a particular tax outcome, or guarantee how quickly the IRS or any state taxing authority will process a return or issue a refund.
Tax outcomes depend on the taxpayer's facts, documentation and applicable law. Government processing times are outside our control.
5. Taxpayer Responsibility
Clients and prospective clients are responsible for providing complete, accurate and timely information and documentation.
Black Swan Tax Group may rely on information provided by the taxpayer unless circumstances require additional verification or due diligence. We may decline to prepare or file a return when required information is unavailable, inconsistent, unsupported or outside the scope of services we are willing to accept.
6. Secure Information Handling
Do not submit Social Security numbers, bank information, tax documents, identification documents or other sensitive taxpayer data through ordinary public website forms unless specifically instructed to use an approved secure method.
Sensitive information should be provided through the secure client workflow established for an accepted engagement.
7. Service Availability and Acceptance
Black Swan Tax Group currently focuses on tax preparation for individuals, families, retirees, independent contractors and self-employed taxpayers.
We reserve the right to decline engagements that are outside our current service scope, capacity, competency, timing or risk parameters.
8. Appointment and Communication Policies
In-person meetings are by appointment only. Appointment availability may change during tax season based on workload.
Response and turnaround times may vary depending on seasonal volume, complexity and whether all required information has been received.
9. Electronic Filing
Electronic filing is subject to IRS and state availability, system requirements and acceptance.
An electronic filing acknowledgement indicating acceptance means the return was received by the taxing authority. It does not guarantee the accuracy of third-party processing, refund timing, audit outcomes or future correspondence from a taxing authority.
10. External Links and Third-Party Services
This website may link to third-party services such as secure client portals, appointment tools, payment processors, social-media platforms, WordPress, Google Business Profile and other external services.
Black Swan Tax Group does not control and is not responsible for the availability, security, content or policies of third-party websites and services.

13. Limitation of Website Reliance
